El cine ha advertido en innumerables ocasiones del peligro del desarrollo de sociedades bajo poderes totalitarios, ideologías inhumanas y tecnologías apocalípticas. Este ciclo recupera cuatro grandes títulos que exploran el reverso de la utopía: La naranja mecánica (Stanley Kubrick, 1971), THX 1138 (George Lucas, 1971), La fuga de Logan (Michael Anderson, 1976) y Gattaca (Andrew Niccol, 1997).
