Abierto el plazo de inscripción para la 5ª Edición de La Mano Fest
La organización de La Mano Fest abre la convocatoria para participar en las secciones oficiales de cortometrajes y de largometrajes de la 5ª edición del certamen, cuyo plazo de inscripción finalizará el 5 de septiembre. El concurso es de ámbito internacional, centrado en el género fantástico y de terror, y las obras seleccionadas formarán parte de la programación del festival que este año tendrá lugar del 26 al 31 de octubre en el Centro de Arte Alcobendas.
En la pasada edición de La Mano Fest fueron presentados a concurso más de 1600 cortometrajes y 400 largometrajes de todos los lugares del planeta, un notable aumento con respecto a ediciones anteriores. The Wailing, Time Lapse, Der Bunker, Found, We Are Still Here o Landmine Goes Click son algunos reconocidos títulos que han pasado por la Sección Oficial de La Mano Fest.

LA MANO, FESTIVAL DE CINE FANTÁSTICO Y DE TERROR·VIERNES, 7 DE ABRIL DE 2017
CONVOCATORIA PARA PARTICIPAR EN LAS SECCIONES DE CORTOS Y LARGOMETRAJES EN LA MANO, FESTIVAL DE CINE FANTÁSTICO Y DE TERROR DE ALCOBENDAS
Por favor lean las siguientes bases cuidadosamente

La organización del festival presenta la convocatoria para participar en las secciones oficiales de cortometrajes y largometrajes de la cuarta edición.
PARA PARTICIPAR:
1. Las obras deberán ser enviadas al festival a través de las plataformas de distribución propuestas por la organización: ClickForFestival, Festhome, FilmeFreeway y Movibeta. En caso de proponer otra forma de envío, el participante deberá ponerse en contacto con la organización. No se aceptará el envío de películas o cortometrajes en formato físico (DVD, BluRay), solo pueden participar obras en formato digital.
2. Al ser un festival internacional, la convocatoria está abierta a películas de cualquier nacionalidad. Las obras pueden ser presentadas en su lengua de origen, pero, en ese caso, deberán estar subtituladas en español o en inglés para el proceso de selección.
En caso de selección, deberán estar obligatoriamente subtituladas en español para la exhibición en el festival. Podrán ser descalificadas si en la fecha determinada por la organización no están disponibles los subtítulos.
3. La organización del certamen se encargará de elegir las películas seleccionadas de entre todas las enviadas a cada sección. La organización se pondrá en contacto con los responsables de las obras seleccionadas.
4. El plazo para el envío de obras finalizará el 5 de septiembre. La organización se reserva la posibilidad de ampliar el plazo si lo cree necesario.
5. Las obras seleccionadas a competición serán proyectadas durante el transcurso del festival en el auditorio Paco de Lucía del Centro de Arte de Alcobendas.
REGLAMENTO:
1. La Mano, Festival de Cine Fantástico y de Terror es un festival competitivo y su temática es el cine fantástico y de terror.
2. El festival consta de dos secciones competitivas para obras audiovisuales:
- Sección Oficial de Largometrajes
- Sección Oficial de Cortometrajes
3. Podrán participar en estas categorías todas las obras que por su contenido o su temática sean consideradas de los géneros fantástico, terror o ciencia ficción. Cada sección contará con un premio en metálico cuyo ganador será elegido por un jurado formado por especialistas de este género. La decisión del jurado será inapelable y, además, se reserva la posibilidad de conceder una mención especial a una obra de cada categoría si lo cree conveniente.
LARGOMETRAJES: Podrán participar en esta sección producciones realizadas a partir del año 2015 y que tengan más de 60 minutos de duración.
CORTOMETRAJES: Podrán participar en esta sección producciones realizadas a partir del año 2016 y que tengan menos de 20 minutos de duración.
4. Las productoras o distribuidoras de las películas seleccionadas recibirán el formulario de inscripción. Los responsables de la película se comprometerán a rellenar y a enviar este formulario antes de 30 días del inicio del festival. En caso de que el festival tenga que compartir la copia de exhibición con otros eventos, se deberá especificar la disponibilidad de esta dentro de las fechas de La Mano.
5. Los responsables de las películas seleccionadas pueden facilitar a la organización del festival material publicitario: fotos, póster, dossier de prensa, tráiler, etc., para que se puedan promocionar las obras de cara a prensa y medios. El festival se reserva el derecho a no devolver estos materiales. Las películas enviadas aceptarán el uso de sus imágenes para la realización de tráileres o clips promocionales.
6. En caso de selección, la organización se pondrá en contacto con la distribuidora o productora del filme para el envío de la copia que se proyectará durante el festival. Las copias deberán ser preferiblemente en BluRay, DCP o formatos digitales en HD. El festival no aceptará copias que no tengan las condiciones mínimas para su exhibición.
7. Los gastos de transporte originados por el envío de las copias destinadas a la proyección corren a cargo del festival, hasta un máximo pactado entre la distribuidora y la organización. En el caso de que la copia tenga que enviarse a otro festival, el otro festival pagará el transporte desde nuestra dirección a la suya.
8. La organización decidirá los días y las horas de proyección de la película. Ninguna película será proyectada en más de dos ocasiones sin el consentimiento previo del propietario.
9. El autor o propietario mantendrá su derecho intelectual y será de su competencia tanto que las obras presentadas no estén sometidas a ninguna responsabilidad legal como que no existan derechos a terceros.
10. La organización se reserva el derecho de poder modificar los premios. Cualquier cambio o modificación de estas cantidades, debidos a la coyuntura económica, se harán públicos a través de la web del festival y comunicada directamente a los participantes.
11. Las obras seleccionadas tienen que estar en poder de la organización 15 días antes del comienzo del festival.
12. Si un premio no es reclamado en el plazo de un año desde el anuncio oficial del palmarés, el ganador perderá el derecho al mismo.
13. La inscripción supone la aceptación del reglamento. Cualquier cuestión no prevista en este será resuelta por la organización del festival.

5th CALL FOR SUBMITTING TO THE SHORT AND FEATURE FILM SECTIONS OF LA MANO, INTERNATIONAL SCI-FI AND HORROR FILM FESTIVAL
Please read the following submission requirements carefully

The organization of La Mano Film Festival introduces the call to be part of the official sections of short and feature films in its fifth edition.
REGISTRATION TERMS:
1. Works must be sent to the festival into the distribution platforms established by the organization: ClickForFestivals, Festhome, FilmFreeway y Movibeta. In case that another way of reception be suggested, the participant must get in contact first with the organization via email. The reception in a physical format (DVD, Blu-Ray) of any short or feature film won't be accepted, only digital files can be received.
2. As it is an international festival, the announcement is open to works from all over the world, therefore the organization allows to submit works in any language. For the selection period all non-Spanish films must have Spanish or English subtitles.
If the film (short or feature) is selected, it will be mandatory to be subtitled in Spanish for its exhibition. If at the time determined by the organization subtitles wouldn't be available, they will be disqualified.
3. The organization of the contest will be in charge of choosing the films selected from among all those sent in each section. In due course, the organization will contact those responsible for the selected works.
4. The registration deadline for shorts and feature films is September, 5th in both cases and the organization reserves the right to extend these deadlines if necessary.
5. Selected works will be shown at Centro de Arte de Alcobendas during La Mano Film Festival dates.
REGULATION:
1. La Mano Fest is an international competitive festival and it is dedicated to fantasy, sci-fi and horror cinema.
2. There are two sections of competition:
- Official Short Movies Section
- Official Feature Films Section
3. All works related to fantasy genres, science fiction or horror can take part. Every section will have an economic prize and the winner will be chosen by a jury composed of genre specialists. The decision of the jury will be unappealable and, they will also have the right to give a special mention to any work from each category if it is considered necessary.
FEATURE FILMS: All Works that have been produced since 2015 with a running time of more than 60 minutes can take part.
SHORTS: All Works that have been produced since 2016 and with a running time of less than 20 minutes can take part.
4. The producer or distribution company of the selected works will receive an entry form and they will undertake to sign and fill it in during the 30 days before festival begins. In case the festival has to share the exhibition copy of the movie with other festivals or events, it must be specified the availability of the copy within the dates of our festival.
5. The responsibles for the selected movie could give commercial material to the festival: pics, posters, press dossier… in order to promote their works for mass-media. The festival reserves its right not to give this material back. All films selected for the Festival grant La Mano Fest the rights to upload a clip/trailer up to 2 minutes in length online for promotional purposes.
6. In case of being selected, the organization will contact the producer or the distribution company for the reception of the film that will be shown during the festival. Copies must be BluRay, DCP or HD digital formats. The festival won’t accept copies which don’t have the minimum conditions for the showing.
7. Shipping will be paid by the festival agreeing a maximum amount between the participants and the organization. In case the copy has to be sent to another festival, the other festival will pay for the shipping to them.
8. The organization will decide the schedule of the exhibition but in any case, non of the films will be shown more than twice, including a press show, without the permission of the owner.
9. The author or rights owner/s will keep their intellectual property rights and it will be within their competence that works are not under any kind of legal responsibility or others’ rights, exempting the festival from all responsibility.
10. The organization reserves the right to modify the prizes. Any change or modification of the amounts, due to the economic situation, will be published on the festival website and directly communicated to the participants.
11. Selected works must be in power of the organization 15 days before the beginning of the festival.
12. If the prize is not claimed by the winner within the next year since its publication, it will be considered lost.
13. Entering this call means the acceptance of all terms. Any doubt not foreseen will be solved by the festival organization.
